Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Machinist to produce precision parts via setup and operation of machining equipment. You will plan materials, determine machining sequences, and ensure finished products meet engineering, quality, and safety standards.

The role requires interpreting drawings, setting up machines, and performing secondary operations with a focus on quality and efficiency. OSHA safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; visa sponsorship not available.
  • One year of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred: technical/trade certificate and 2 years experience, or 6 years experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan materials and determine machining sequences.
  • Set up and operate machining equipment to make precision parts.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Follow processes to perform machining and assembly operations.
  • Fit, align, and assemble machined components into assemblies.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, deburring, finishing operations.
  • Inspect parts with precision measuring tools and ensure conformance.
  • Document production, inspection, and quality records accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and inspection teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain 5S in the work area and follow safety rules.
