Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0-3 years in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Experience in an industrial machine shop is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates tapping machine equipment to produce parts according to specifications and/or special instructions.
• Reads drawings, manuals, and work instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Verifies conformance of finished parts to specifications.
• Inspects parts for quality and correct tolerances using measuring tools.
• Understand tapping sequence.
• Keep tooling clean and in working order.
