Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is hiring a machinery operator at our Carson, CA facility. The role involves running standard and specialized machines after setup, inspecting parts per blueprints, and maintaining a clean, safe work area across an 8- or 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• After set up by others, takes specific instructions and operates various standard and specialized machines.
• Load parts or material into bins, hoppers and feeds; remove finished parts; operate switches, pedals and levers.
• Observe operation for malfunction and correct or report.
• Submit 'First Article'.
• Use standard gauges to check parts according to specification.
• Read blueprints and use micrometers, calipers and other gauges as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe daily.
• Perform related tasks in assigned departments.
