Job summary

RTX Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT facility has multiple Production Machinist roles on a 3X12 schedule, 1st Shift, onsite. You will set up and operate machine tools to produce precision turbine engine parts, following documented methods and inspections.

Candidates with High School Diploma/GED and 6 months machining experience encouraged to apply; 1–3 years preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) match, flexible schedules and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 6 months machining experience required.
• 1–3 years machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one machine tool or multiple tools in the same area to produce precision turbine engine parts.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, operation sheets, drawings and other pertinent information.
• Identify dull or damaged cutting tools and replace as needed.
• Perform bench, assembly and surface finishing operations using hand and power tools.
• Carry out drilling, riveting and bonding operations to assemble details into finished parts.
• Operate part-marking equipment and use measuring instruments to check dimensions.
