Job summary

Chromalloy in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Machinist for 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) to operate manual lathes and milling machines, producing and repairing precision parts while interpreting blueprints. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, basic GD&T knowledge, and the ability to read technical documents; willing to work with minimal supervision within a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school certificate or machining-specific education preferred.
• Previous experience operating manual machinery required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual lathes and milling machines to produce/repair precision parts.
• Analyze blueprints and drawings to determine setups and machining sequences.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and pi tapes to ensure specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
