Job summary

Badger Meter, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of water metering solutions, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role covers multiple stations including meter assembly, molding, registration, and machining, with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will rotate through workstations, follow work instructions, and use a range of tools and equipment. High school degree and basic computer skills are expected; forklift/hazmat training may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree/GED preferred.
• 0-1 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to pass internal forklift and hazmat training required.
• Basic proficiency with computers required.
• Basic skills in math required.
• Basic ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meter Assembly: Perform a variety of operations such as assembly of meters, leak testing, meter testing, and packaging of meter products while following safety guidelines.
• Molding: Operate plastic injection molding machines and secondary operations to molded parts; check parts with inspection tools to ensure quality.
• Registration Assembly: Perform varied register assembly, sub-assembly and test operations on electro/mechanical units.
• Machining: Operate multiple machines, follow work instructions, inspect parts and update manufacturing status.
