Job summary

MAPAL Inc., the US subsidiary of MAPAL Group, seeks a CNC Manual Prep Operator at its Fountain Inn, SC site, focused on preparing materials and running CNC and manual machines. The role demands reading engineering drawings, attention to detail, and problem solving within a safety-aware team environment.

You will operate cut-off, EDM, wheel dressing, laser engraving, grinders, and inspection tools while following job routers and MAPAL standards. Overtime and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and instructions.
• Detail oriented with troubleshooting and process workflow skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cut-off saws to prepare material for production.
• Measure material and test per blueprints using micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and digital microscope.
• Program, set up and operate CNC EDM sink machines to produce precision parts.
• Program, set up and operate CNC multi-axis machines to produce precision parts.
• Program and operate Manual and CNC Wheel Dressing machines.
• Set up Laser Engraving for tool markings following MAPAL standards.
• Disassemble/assemble or dress Grinder Wheel Packs for production.
• Operate surface grinders and edge honing machines to quality standards.
• Maintain work area and equipment per MAPAL policies and safety standards.

CNC Manual Prep Operator 10070

• Set up and operate cut-off saws to prepare material for production.
• Material measurement and testing according to blueprints with appropriate measurement tools like digital micrometer, height gauge, caliper, and digital microscope
• Program, set up and operate CNC EDM sink machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Program, set up and operate CNC Multi-axis machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Program, set up and operate Manual and CNC Wheel Dressing machines
• Set up template, sizing, placing and operating a Laser Engraving machine to etch tool markings in accordance with safety procedures and MAPAL standards
• Disassemble, assemble or dress Grinder Wheel Packs for production
• Set up and operate surface grinder and edge honing machines
• Produce product in accordance with job router, print and capacity in the most efficient manner
• Ensure work area and equipment are maintained, organized and cleaned to MAPAL standards
• Exhibit and exceed all MAPAL behaviors as defined by policy, procedure, quality and safety standards
• Tasks as assigned to qualification standard
