Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled machine operator to run equipment and produce high-quality precast concrete products. You will follow safety policies and work to meet production standards while adhering to process documentation and quality checks.

Responsibilities include reading specifications, setting up equipment, inspecting output for defects, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with teammates to complete shifts on time.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must be computer literate and mechanically capable.
• Leadership abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for inconsistencies to ensure quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
