The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, and programmable controllers. Candidates should be comfortable reading manuals and performing routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, and tools.
• Ability to read safety rules and operation manuals.
• Mathematical ability for measurements and unit conversions.
• Computer literacy and strong mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and other tasks to meet deadlines and complete production.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
