Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a production machine operator to operate plant machinery and ensure product quality. You will read specifications, adjust settings, and monitor operations to prevent defects while maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience with production machinery, plus basic electronics, hydraulics, and PLC understanding. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ≥3 years operating production machines.
• Basic understanding of electronics and PLCs.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical basics.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Reviews product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearances assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Performs routine machine maintenance.
• Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product.
• M maintains housekeeping in assigned areas.
