Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a production/assembly operator to retrieve, inspect, and prepare product to customer specifications. The role involves operating presses, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality while coordinating with other work cells to meet delivery deadlines.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift 40 lbs, and a willingness to obtain forklift and crane certifications within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to be certified for both Forklift and Crane within 6 months of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate press, inspect and prepare parts for shipment per Operator Instructions.
• Notify supervisor of non-conforming product or problems with machine, materials, etc.
• Communicate production issues with the next press operator and grind parts/scrap as needed.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to ensure quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Know the basics of hand tools (power tools, drills, grinders).
• Assist other operators to set up machines and other tasks to meet deadlines.
• Other duties as needed.
