Qualifications

• Understand SOPs and follow SOPs, machine operations and sanitation procedures (SSPOs).
• Operate manufacturing equipment in high-volume production.
• Manipulate small parts and gauges.
• Apply critical thinking to solve problems.
• Set up machine at start of shift.
• Perform safety checks throughout shift.
• Adjust machine components to product specifications.
• Load packaging material into machine during shift.
• Stop and adjust machine during jams or malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot issues during operation.
• Inspect and remove items not meeting quality standards.
• Clean machines and perform preventive maintenance.
• Test weights, seals, film orientation, codes and labels.
• Document shift activities: inspections, quality checks, maintenance.
• Communicate performance information to other shifts.
• Complete end-of-shift washouts.
• Read English and follow written instructions.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce quality products per specs.
