Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking an Equipment and Machine Operator to operate machinery in a safety-conscious environment in South Carolina. The role emphasizes producing high-quality precast concrete and related products while following CRH safety policies.

Responsibilities include reading specifications, setting up machines, monitoring operation, performing light maintenance, and helping teammates to meet deadlines. A high school diploma and basic technical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

• Reading safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
• Comfort with basic electronics, hydraulics and tools.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to ensure quality.
