Job summary

CentroMotion | Elliott Mfg. in Binghamton, NY is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate all relevant machinery in the Assembly department under moderate supervision.

You will follow work instructions to complete production tasks while upholding safety and quality standards. You'll read blueprints, interpret GD&T, document measurements with micrometers and calipers, perform basic equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing assembly or fabrication.
• Experience reading blueprints or manufacturing drawings.
• Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to workload and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program various manufacturing machines (methods, tooling, and fixtures to assure proper methodology).
• Read and interpret work Instructions and assembly outlines.
• Review and understand blueprint geometric dimensioning/tolerancing and notes.
• Apply interpretation of blueprint to assembly build. Ensure all print specifications are met.
• Inspect assemblies and document dimensional compliance using micrometers, vernier calipers and other measuring instruments.
• Identify abnormalities and quality defects in assembly build.
• Use standardized guidelines for setups, tooling, fixtures and equipment.
