Job summary

CentroMotion, Elliott Mfg. in Binghamton, NY, seeks a Machine Operator to set up and operate manufacturing machines under supervision. You will read blueprints, follow work instructions, and perform basic maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing assembly or fabrication position.
• Experience reading blueprints or manufacturing drawings.
• Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program various manufacturing machines (methods, tooling, and fixtures to assure proper methodology).
• Read and interpret work Instructions and assembly outlines.
• Review and understand blueprint geometric dimensioning/tolerancing and notes.
• Apply interpretation of blueprint to assembly build. Ensure all print specifications are met.
• Inspect assemblies and document dimensional compliance using micrometers, vernier calipers and other measuring instruments.
• Identify abnormalities and quality defects in assembly build.
