Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to edit CNC programs and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Strong blueprint reading for machining diameters and tolerances.
• Able to machine parts to specified tolerances using micrometers and related tools.
• Lift 50 lbs or more regularly and work in confined spaces.
• Experience with stainless and tool steel alloys preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and special purpose machines to fabricate parts.
• Apply machine shop theory, shop math, and layout techniques.
• Study blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup needs.
• Measure, mark, and verify dimensions during production.
• Select and secure fixtures, tools, and attachments on machines.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters to achieve tolerance.
• Monitor operations for malfunctions and correct as needed.
• Verify dimensions with micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve machining issues.
• Maintain safety procedures and perform routine maintenance.
