Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to operate plant machinery while following safety policies and procedures to deliver a high-quality product. The role involves reading specifications, setting up machines, monitoring quality, and assisting with maintenance.

You will need the ability to read and interpret instructions, work independently, and adapt to a flexible schedule. The position emphasizes accuracy and teamwork to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or related experience in trades.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently; must have leadership skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic across units of measure.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to lengths as indicated by scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for inconsistencies and ensure quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Support other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
