  • Ensure part conformance using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Use SPC data to adjust machine settings and tooling for optimal performance.
  • Perform secondary operations including deburring, grinding, and basic assembly.
  • Document production progress and time in the ERP system.

You will leverage your technical expertise in CNC machining and blueprint interpretation to ensure our production goals are met with excellence and precision.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor multiple CNC machines simultaneously to maximize production output while maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Perform essential machine tending tasks, including loading/unloading workpieces, managing tooling offsets, and conducting routine preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure part conformance by utilizing precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Interpret complex blueprints and apply GD&T principles to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to proactively adjust machine settings and tooling for optimal performance.
  • Execute secondary operations including hand deburring, grinding, and basic assembly to finalize products.
  • Document production progress and time accurately within the ERP system to maintain operational transparency.
Qualifications
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 12-18 months of hands-on experience in a machining environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to use standard inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and maintain mobility across workstations.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic understanding of CMM dimensional inspection processes.
  • Experience performing first-piece approvals on complex components.
  • Familiarity with cutter compensation and advanced offset adjustments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
