You will ensure parts meet tolerances, set up and operate milling and turning equipment, and collaborate with engineering to optimize processes. This full-time role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience and a commitment to safety and maintenance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings to determine machining sequences and setups.
  • Configure and operate conventional milling, turning, and drilling equipment.
  • Calculate and adjust machining parameters to maximize tool life and part quality.
  • Perform critical quality inspections using micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot fabrication challenges.
  • Execute routine preventive maintenance on machinery.

You will utilize your expertise in manual machining to interpret complex blueprints, ensuring every part meets rigorous tolerance standards while optimizing production efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications to determine optimal machining sequences and setup requirements.
  • Configure and operate conventional milling, turning, and drilling equipment to fabricate precision parts.
  • Calculate and adjust machining parameters, including feed rates, spindle speeds, and coolant flow, to maximize tool life and part quality.
  • Perform critical quality inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot fabrication challenges and refine manufacturing processes.
  • Execute routine preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure operational reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace by strictly adhering to all industrial safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating manual lathes and milling equipment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex machining blueprints, including ID/OD tolerances.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring climbing, stooping, and kneeling.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with stainless steel and high‑performance tool steel alloys.
  • Basic familiarity with CNC programming and editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop custom fabrication sketches from general project descriptions.
