Job summary

Kelly Services in Farmington, CT is seeking a 1st shift Direct Hire Assembly Specialist (Machine Assembler) to perform hands-on mechanical assembly using blueprints and schematics in a high-precision manufacturing setting.

You will assemble components, work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical subsystems, and ensure builds meet strict quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, Lean-driven work area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of assembly experience OR 5+ years in manufacturing, maintenance, or service
• Ability to read blueprints and basic schematics
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to read and measure in both inch and metric systems
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Electrical wiring experience, forklift, or computer skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and machines using blueprints and schematics
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical assemblies
• Use precision tools (torque wrenches, gauges, indicators) to meet tolerances
• Operate overhead crane to move large components during assembly
• Follow quality standards and safety procedures
• Maintain clean, organized work areas aligned with lean principles
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
