Software Placement Group is seeking a Machine Assembler in New Britain, CT, to join our production team on full-time, on-site shifts (1st or 2nd) with standard business hours. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of assembly experience, or 5 years in manufacturing of machine-tool parts, maintenance, or service.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lb and perform repetitive reaching and bending.
  • Familiar with documentation, drawings, and part lists.
  • Able to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficient with precision measuring devices and strong attention to detail.

  • Assemble mechanical components and machines per drawings, part lists, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Use precision tools to achieve required tolerances (torque wrenches, gauges, indicators).
  • Operate overhead cranes to move heavy components safely.
  • Follow quality standards and measure in both imperial and metric units.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
  • Maintain an organized, clean work area following lean manufacturing principles.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE.
  • Provide feedback to support continuous process improvements.

Location: New Britain, CT | Schedule: Full-time, on-site (1st or 2nd shift, standard business hours)

Overview

An established manufacturer in the machinery assembly industry is seeking a Machine Assembler to join its production team. This hands-on role involves building high-precision machinery and contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement within a hands-on manufacturing environment.

What you'll do
  • Assemble mechanical components and machines according to engineering drawings, part lists, blueprints, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
  • Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels to achieve required tolerances
  • Operate overhead cranes to safely move heavy components during assembly
  • Follow quality standards and accurately measure in both imperial (inch) and metric systems
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
  • Maintain an organized, clean work area in accordance with lean manufacturing principles
  • Adhere to safety protocols and consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Provide feedback and input to support continuous process improvements
Required qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly, or 5 years of experience in manufacturing of machine tool parts, maintenance, or service
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without aid and perform repetitive reaching and bending
  • Familiarity with documentation, drawings, and part lists
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Skilled in using precision measuring devices with strong attention to detail
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with electrical wiring assembly and computer literacy preferred
  • Forklift license a plus
