Specific work activities will include:
- Component installation
- Building and assembly of sub-components
- Installation of software
- Testing tuning and troubleshooting
- Installation of slides, spindles, and alignment of slides
- Tracing and measuring of mechanical components
Skills
- Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of technical precision machines and associated systems.
- Must be able to read and understand technical documentation and prints / specifications and use sophisticated measuring instruments and gauges.
- Knowledge of CNC controls, and some basic programming.
- Operate various machine and hand tools, including micrometers, verniers, soldering and wire crimping tools.
- Ability to work independently and meet production schedules.
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to include Engineering and Applications on standard and special system builds.
- Stand for extended periods of time, reach with both hands and bend as necessary, frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
Additional Duties
- On occasion will require the participation in training of customers, customer buy-offs, training of field and other personnel.
- Occasional field work to include installations, and service work.
