Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Loan Booking Specialist to take ownership of booking consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans to the core servicing system. The role requires reviewing loan documents, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, and supporting related initiatives within Loan Operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in an operations role, with knowledge of loan servicing and strong Excel/Word skills. Some travel and training are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in an operations role.
• Knowledge of loan servicing for consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans.
• Familiarity with Federal/State regulations.
• Experience with Fiserv systems is a plus.
• Good interpersonal and computer skills (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Review executed loan documents and book/board new, renewed, and modified loans/lines to the core servicing system.
• Ensure documents comply with bank policies and regulations; meet timelines.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, lenders, LOAs, and bank staff; maintain positive relationships.
• Complete compliance training and adhere to anti-money laundering guidelines.
