Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a post-closing specialist to track all closed mortgage loans from disbursement through shipping to the designated investor. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and coordination with internal partners to meet deadlines.

This onsite position is based at the Charleston Operations Center. The candidate should have at least 2 years of mortgage loan documentation experience and may have familiarity with Encompass.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years of mortgage loan documentation experience.
• Familiarity with Encompass preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Check in all executed closed loan packages in a timely manner from the settlement agent and follow up on closed loan packages not received.
• Become familiar with all aspects of shipping and delivering loans into the secondary market; ensure timely and successful delivery of loans to agencies and third-party investors within delivery expirations.
• Follow up on internal post-closing deficiencies and obtain documentation to correct deficiencies so the loan can be committed for sale.
• Monitor delivered service released loans and collaborate with internal partners to obtain, review, and submit supporting documentation to the investor so the loan can be purchased.
• Assist with audit of loans when time permits.
• Maintain accurate tracking and reporting; ensure timely completion of tasks; maintain urgency and accuracy.
