Leonardo Electronics US, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Assembly Technician in Tucson, AZ to assemble high-power laser diode devices and support NPI activities.

You will perform precision die attach, mechanical assembly, and assist Engineers with prototypes and release to manufacturing. Responsibilities include manual die attach, high magnification inspection, wire bonding, LIV testing, data entry, and process documentation in a 10,000-class clean room.

Formación

• Associates degree in Electronics or 5 years related experience.
• Attention to detail and high level of mechanical dexterity is required.
• Hands-on experience with lasers as a laser tech is preferred.
• Excellent communications skills and strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Access).
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing in a 10,000 class clean room environment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform manual die attach and laser diode array assembly with precision alignment under 20X to 50X magnification.
• Work with Engineering staff on new design assemblies and protocols.
• Analyze and report technical data to ensure products meet requirements.
• Ability to perform manual die attach for new design multi bar stacks, single emitter, and multi emitter chips and bars.
• Monitor all manual die attach processes and provide technical support to help resolve issues.
• Investigate and troubleshoot product deficiencies and failures.
• Perform package assembly for single emitter and multi-emitter packages.
• High magnification inspection for defects during reflow or assembly.
• Assist in defining and documenting newly introduced processes.
• Use wire-bonding systems to apply wire bonds to laser diode packages.
• Ability to perform LIV tests on high powered laser diodes.
• Enter data into Manufacturing interfaces and Excel spreadsheets.
• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Operate and program high-performance dicing saws.
