Job summary

Leonardo Electronics US Inc. in Tucson, AZ seeks an Engineering Assembly Technician to perform precision manual die attach and mechanical assembly on high-power laser diode devices.

You will support Engineering and R&D during NPI, assist with production release, and help resolve issues using data analysis and careful inspection. This hands-on role requires dexterity and strong communication in a clean-room environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or 5+ years related experience.
• Detail oriented with high mechanical dexterity.
• Experience working with lasers or laser tech preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills (MS Excel/Access).
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and 10,000 class clean room environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual die attach and laser diode array assembly with precision alignment under 20x–50x magnification.
• Assist Engineering with new design assemblies and protocols.
• Analyze and report technical data to ensure products meet requirements.
• Enter data into Manufacturing interfaces and Excel.
• Operate and program dicing saws and CMM.
• Provide second-person assistance on complex assemblies and support production.
