Job summary

Leonardo Electronics US Inc. in Tucson, AZ, seeks an Engineering Assembly Technician to perform precision die attach and laser diode assembly for high‑power devices. You will support new product introduction and assist engineers with development prototypes.

You will also work on manual and automated wire bonding, CMM inspection, LIV testing, and data entry into manufacturing systems to ensure quality and traceability. A strong mechanical skillset and attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or 5+ years related experience.
• Detail oriented with high mechanical dexterity and good communication skills.
• Experience with lasers and semiconductor manufacturing in clean room environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble high‑power laser diode devices with precision die attach under magnification.
• Assist Engineering with new design assemblies and protocols.
• Analyze and report data to ensure products meet requirements.
• Perform manual die attach for multi‑bar stacks and single/multi emitter devices.
• Operate and inspect with wire‑bonding systems and high magnification.
• Support production processes and investigate deficiencies as needed.
