Job summary

Leonardo Electronics US Inc in Tucson is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Operator for the second shift. You will perform hands-on die attach and mechanical assembly of high-power laser diode devices in a controlled environment.

This full-time temporary role involves operating burn‑in towers, temperature cycling chambers, various test equipment, and a Coordinate‑measuring machine (CMM). You will inspect with microscopes and record data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Attention to detail and mechanical dexterity are required.
• One year of mechanical assembly experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform LIV test on laser diode assemblies.
• Operate burn-in towers, temperature cycle chambers and test equipment.
• Operate Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM).
• Perform inspection using low-powered microscopes.
• Work with small hand tools such as tweezers, vacuum wands, torque, and hex drivers.
• Troubleshoot issues to improve yield.
• Notify area Supervisor/Lead of any yield issues.
• Assist in updating documentation to ensure every production process is documented and controlled.
• Accurately enter data into manufacturing interfaces and Excel spreadsheets.
