Job summary

ALS Limited in Elko, Nevada is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) to prepare client samples for analysis in our labs. The role involves ringing, sieving, crushing and splitting under supervision, loading/unloading drying ovens, and maintaining production logs.

You will assist with layout duties, keep the workspace clean, and follow safety policies. Candidates should have basic English communication, good manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a hot, dusty lab environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.
• Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; sometimes continuously.
• Be cleanly-shaven in order to wear protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing, splitting under direct supervision.
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintain own production logs.
• General cleaning duties for basic lab cleanliness.
• Inspecting equipment and inform senior employee if adjustment is required.
• Observe established safety regulations and ALS policies.
