Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) in Tucson, AZ to prepare client samples for analysis. You will perform ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting under supervision, load/unload drying ovens, and maintain production logs. The role requires basic English, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a hot, dusty lab setting.

You may work independently or in a team, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in a diverse scientific environment.

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting client samples under supervision.
• Loading/unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintain own production logs and ensure lab cleanliness.
• Assist with layout tasks and handling special requests as needed.
• Inspect equipment and report adjustments required for quality.
