Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) in Reno to work with client samples and prepare them for analysis in our labs. The role requires handling grinding, sieving, and crushing tasks under supervision, with attention to cleanliness and safety.

You will maintain production logs, follow safety policies, and support the laboratory team in achieving accurate results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.
• Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lifting may exceed 50lbs and assistance is required.
• Sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes sedentary responsibilities.
• Be cleanly-shaven to wear protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving and crushing under supervision; sample preparation for analysis.
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintain own production logs and clean work areas.
• Follow ALS health and safety policies and procedures.
• Inspecting equipment and report adjustments needed.
• Perform general duties to support analytical workflows.
