Job summary

Charah Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator for our projects in the Georgetown area.

The role involves loading and moving ash, dirt, and rocks using heavy machinery, controlling equipment to achieve precise grading and elevations, and coordinating with crew members for efficient workflow. Applicants should have at least three years of heavy equipment experience and a valid driver’s license, with preference given to those who know GPS grading systems and ash-management

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or similar environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience operating in a production-focused environment preferred.
• Experience utilizing GPS grading systems (Trimble, Topcon) preferred.
• Knowledge of ash management, structural fills and landfills preferred.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and/or move various materials (ash, dirt, rock, etc.) using heavy construction equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment with blades in passes over working areas to distribute and level earth.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, following signals from crew members.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when it needs service.
• Adjust controls to position the machine precisely as required.
• Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
