Job summary

Perdue Farms is hiring a Hatchery Production Associate in Kenly, NC. This hands-on role supports incubation, hatching, and care with precise environmental controls to ensure high-quality chicks for our growers and customers.

You will receive, set, and transfer hundreds of thousands of eggs weekly, operate hatchery equipment, and follow safety protocols. A high school diploma and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Correctly receive, set, and transfer approximately 991,440 eggs per week, ensuring minimum damage while maximizing hatchability.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize entire hatchery, including equipment, to reduce mold and bacteria.
• Operate tray wash and/or separator machines to maximize throughput with minimal damage.
• Safely transport and process approximately 250,000 chicks daily with accurate distribution and quality control.
• Perform duties per management and SOPs while fostering team spirit and morale.
