Job summary

Collins Aerospace located in Wilson, NC is seeking a motivated GTAW Welder to join our production team. You will perform high-quality precision welding on thin-gauge materials and be trained to develop an advanced aerospace welding career in a structured environment.

The role emphasizes setup, welding, inspection, safety, and potential training duties. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM with weekend overtime as required.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
1+ years GTAW welding experience or welding fabrication experience.
Associate degree in welding or a welding certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate GTAW welding equipment according to drawings and WPS parameters.
Perform GTAW welding on thin-gauge materials (e.g., 4130 steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium).
Inspect welds using calipers, micrometers, borescopes, and gages; perform repairs as needed.
Follow safety, EH&S, and compliance standards; maintain a clean work area.
Assist in training other welders and interpret technical documents.
Work Monday–Friday, 3:30PM–11:30PM with occasional weekend overtime.
