Job summary

Collins Aerospace in San Marcos, TX is seeking a Welder II to perform advanced TIG welding with limited supervision, producing high-quality precision parts on 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm).

You will set up and operate automatic and manual welding equipment, read blueprints, inspect dimensions with gauges, and support furnace-related alloy and assembly tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards. Overtime and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or technical training and 1+ year welding experience.
• 1+ year reading blueprints, diagrams or drawings for welding tasks.
• 1+ year use of basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding with limited supervision to meet specs.
• Set up and operate welding machines, calibrate as required.
• Clean welds and inspect dimensions with precision gauges.
• Read blueprints and specification sheets to guide tasks.
• Support alloy and assembly operations for furnaces.
• Complete production documentation and labor transactions.
