Job summary

Milacron is seeking a Machine Operator for Mt. Orab, Ohio, on a 3rd shift (11pm–7am) with a 90‑day training period (7am–3pm). Overtime is available as needed.

The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring grinding machinery to produce precision parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tools, adjusting speeds/feeds, inspecting parts, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to work unspecified overtime.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to meet customer demand.
• Experience with precision tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers) and reading blueprints.
• Basic computer skills to perform and interpret computer functions.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Enrolled in technical programs such as machining or manufacturing.
• 1+ year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the grinding machine per project specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand requirements.
• Install and select tools/equipment for the grinding process.
• Adjust machine settings for speed, feed, and cut path.
• Monitor machine operation to prevent errors and malfunctions.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure spec compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance for longevity and safety.
• Troubleshoot issues during grinding operations.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
