Job summary

Milacron in Mt. Orab, Ohio is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and operate Weingartner grinding equipment to machine metal components per engineering specs while supporting safe, efficient manufacturing.

You will inspect parts, read blueprints, select abrasives, and coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing to address defects, maintaining 5S standards and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Technical Program Certificate or 1+ years related experience or training.
• Experience operating grinding equipment, machines, and grinding processes required.
• Ability to inspect parts for compliance with engineering specs and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and process docs.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Weingartner grinding equipment to grind metal parts to specifications and tolerances.
• Grind castings, billets, machine parts, and other metal components to achieve required finishes.
• Remove excess metal, burrs, and surface imperfections using grinding wheels and abrasive equipment.
• Examine, inspect, and measure workpieces to verify conformance to drawings and specs.
• Select and change abrasive wheels to achieve specified finishes and verify product identity.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and process sheets; monitor machine performance and maintenance.
