Job summary

AllStaff in Ohio is seeking a Grinder to operate grinding equipment, shape and finish metal parts, and maintain high quality through attention to detail. The role requires physical strength and the ability to work on first or third shift, with potential Saturday work.

This hands-on position offers steady hours, exposure to continuous improvement activities, and a path to permanent hire with benefits of a pay card and recognition awards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating grinding equipment or similar machinery.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand-held and stationary grinding equipment to remove excess material, smooth surfaces, and correct defects.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and report any non-quality issues immediately.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Make adjustments to equipment as directed by supervisors.
• Have knowledge of the locations of all shutdown and lockout switches in the assigned area.
• Remove scrap from the work area.
• Execute all tooling and roll changes.
• Other duties may be assigned.
