Job summary

Milacron in Mt. Orab, Ohio, is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Operator to grind and finish metal parts to specification, inspect products for quality, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

You will grind, inspect, and measure parts, interpret complex drawings, and collaborate with quality and production to address issues while maintaining safety and 5S standards. This role requires basic math and the ability to work with equipment and tools on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Technical Program Certificate or 1+ year of related experience.
• Experience operating grinding equipment and machines.
• Ability to inspect parts and record results accurately.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and handle materials.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Grind metal parts to smooth or rough finishes per specifications.
• Remove burrs and excess metal using grinding equipment.
• Inspect and measure workpieces to verify conformance with specs.
• Select and mount abrasive wheels to achieve required finishes.
• Verify product accuracy using travelers and production documentation.
• Inspect various parts and record inspection results.
• Interpret drawings, process sheets, and specs.
• Collaborate with quality and production to address defects.
• Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance.
• Use precision measuring tools and equipment while maintaining safety and 5S.
• Recommend improvements and perform other assigned duties.
