Job summary

Milacron is seeking a CNC Operator / Welder to join our Mt. Orab, Ohio team. You will operate grinding and finishing equipment, inspect parts, and support manufacturing operations while performing MIG, arc, and gas welding as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent technical education required.
• 1-5 years of manufacturing, machining, grinding, welding, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Welding experience with MIG, arc, or gas welding preferred; welding certification preferred.
• Experience operating grinding equipment, CNC equipment, or heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and finishing equipment to smooth, shape, and finish castings, billets, machine parts, and other metal components according to specifications.
• Remove excess metal, burrs, scratches, and surface imperfections using grinding equipment and power tools.
• Examine and measure workpieces to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Select and install abrasive wheels and tooling to achieve specified surface finishes.
• Inspect products and document inspection results using established procedures.
• Interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and perform routine preventative maintenance.
