Adalet/Scott Fetzer Company is seeking a Grinder to perform diverse grinding operations on castings in a manufacturing setting. You will process castings, remove excess metal, and shape surfaces using various grinders and abrasives to meet finish specifications.

The role requires manufacturing experience, 6–12 months grinding experience preferred, and strict adherence to safety protocols with PPE. The job is on-site in a production environment with standard 8–10 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Manufacturing experience is required.
• 6–12 months grinding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process castings and remove excess metal using grinders.
• Operate and maintain hand-held grinders, backstand grinders, belt sanders, and band saws.
• Achieve specified finish tolerances and blend welds into surrounding metal.
• Repair cosmetic defects using peening or puttying and precise grinding.
• Deburr and clean castings for subsequent processes.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE (glasses, boots, hard hat).
