Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Grinder to join our manufacturing team in Heath, OH. This hands-on role uses hand grinders to finish cylinder head and frame castings, removing sharp edges and preparing parts to meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate has grinding, deburring, metal finishing, or related manufacturing experience, can work independently, and follows safety procedures. Shifts: 1st and 2nd, with early start times.

Qualifications

• Experience in grinding, deburring, metal finishing or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with hand grinders or similar power tools a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand grinders to remove sharp edges from castings.
• Clean sanding pockets and perform deburring and chamfering of holes.
• Finish parts according to quality and production standards.
• Work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures.
• Perform work that involves standing and regular use of hand and upper-body strength.
