Job summary

Gardner Denver, part of Ingersoll Rand, is seeking a Precision Grinding and CNC Offset Technician in Sedalia, MO. The role focuses on holding tight tolerances, reading blueprints, and balancing rotating assemblies while interpreting CNC programs and offsets.

You will operate grinders, forklifts, and cranes in a 2nd shift environment, ensuring parts meet exact specs. You will work with precision gauges, measure dimensions, and maintain a safe, organized workspace, contributing to high-quality,

Qualifications

2+ years in machining with CNC experience preferred.
Ability to hold tight tolerances, specifically ±0.0002 in on ground diameters.
Reading mechanical drawings/blueprints.
Capable of making CNC offsets and minor program edits.
Experience with precision metrology tools (OD mics, height gauges, snap gauges).

Responsibilities

Operate grinding equipment to hold ±0.0002 in on OD diameters.
Balance rotating assemblies (static and dynamic) to specification.
Read blueprints, interpret torque specs, and document measurements.
Measure, document, and verify dimensions; maintain clean work area.
Understand and offset CNC programs; observe machine performance to ensure parts meet spec.
