Responsibilities include setting up OD/ID grinding equipment, selecting grinding wheels, wheel dressing, and interpreting blueprints with GD&T to ensure surface integrity and precision. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on grinding experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience with OD/ID or centerless grinding.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate OD and ID grinding equipment.
• Select and apply appropriate grinding wheels based on material, tolerance, and finish.
• Perform wheel dressing and adjustments to maintain precision and surface integrity.
• Execute form grinding and complex setups on aerospace components.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to meet tight tolerances and surface finish specs.
• Troubleshoot surface finish issues, chatter, and wheel performance.
• Choose workholding methods, speeds, feeds, and machine parameters.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet quality and delivery targets.
