Job summary

BD in Sandy, Utah is seeking a skilled individual to join the Tooling and Mold Manufacturing team. You will manufacture, repair, and maintain critical mold components used in high-volume medical device production, working with precision grinding and measuring tools to ensure surfaces meet strict tolerances.

Ideal candidates have solid mechanical proficiency and are eager to learn precision grinding. Training is available; this on-site role requires a keen eye for detail and adherence to quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to train in precision grinding and mold component manufacturing.
• Solid mechanical proficiency and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and follow drawings and general guidance.
• Select the proper abrasive wheel for the task.
• Operate grinding equipment (ID-OD, surface, cut-off wheels, Optidress).
• Use precision measuring equipment (outside micrometers, inside micrometers, optical comparator, dial calipers).
• Perform periodic service and maintenance on grinding machines.
• Operate polishing equipment to achieve surface finish.
• Adhere to BD quality policies and procedures.
• Work overtime as needed; flexible hours as business needs require.
