Job summary

Ultradent is seeking a Mold Tooling Technician to maintain injection molds and support the production team in Salt Lake City. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and changes, and troubleshoot mold tooling issues while ensuring safety practices.

The role requires reading electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, operating a Mill/Lathe/Grinder/Welder, and providing technical assistance. Documentation of mold tooling activities and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills and technical problem solving.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Flexible in approach and adaptable to workload.
• Methodical problem solving approach.
• Good understanding of operating a Mill, Lathe, Grinder, and Welder.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Hot Runner knowledge of heaters, thermocouples and other components.
• Observe safe rigging and mold handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Preform preventative maintenance, repairs and modifications on injection molds.
• Assemble and dis-assemble molds for changeover, repairs and spare component analysis.
• Provide technical assistance to technical and production teams as needed.
• Troubleshoot mold tooling issues and implement a plan to solve the problems found.
• Complete mold tooling documentation as needed.
