Job summary

State Brass Foundry in Tooele, UT is seeking a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on finishing cast components to precise specifications in a fast-paced foundry environment.

You will operate grinding equipment, inspect parts for defects, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while meeting daily quotas. Prior foundry/grinding experience and PPE familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in foundry or grinding operations preferred.
• Ability to operate grinding equipment to finish cast components to specification.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding equipment to finish and smooth cast components to specification
• Inspect finished parts for defects, burrs, and surface imperfections
• Use hand grinders, bench grinders, and related abrasive tools safely and efficiently
• Remove excess material, gates, and risers from castings post-pour
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with safety standards
• Monitor tooling and equipment, reporting wear or maintenance needs to supervisors
• Meet daily production quotas while maintaining quality control standards
