PRL Industries in Lebanon, PA is seeking a Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The role involves grinding and finishing castings, forgings, and weldments using handheld power grinders in a hands-on industrial setting.

The ideal candidate has experience with grinding or metal fabrication and can follow blueprints and procedures. This 2nd shift position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely use handheld power tools and grinders.
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical work.
• Physical dexterity to grind components from multiple positions and angles.
• Occasionally lift more than 50 pounds.
• Work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to wear a respirator when required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Grind and finish castings, forgings, and weldments using handheld power grinders.
• Operate grinders ranging from approximately 3 to 16 pounds.
• Remove metal using abrasive wheels and grinding techniques.
• Reposition and handle castings or parts to complete grinding work.
• Grind components in various positions and surfaces.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, sketches, blueprints, and specs.
• Verify documentation and part information for accuracy.
• Record production information according to procedures.
• Serialize parts using vibro-tools or steel stamps.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hand trucks, scales, and banding equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
