Job summary

McConway and Torley, LLC is seeking a Finishing Operator (Grinder) in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work with a team to grind, inspect, and finish castings to exact specifications.

Candidates should be able to operate grinders, cranes, and gauges, tolerate temperature and noise in a manufacturing environment, and be flexible to work any shift. Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating grinding equipment in manufacturing.
• Willingness to work any shift.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Good attendance and reliability.
• Understand casting specifications.

Responsibilities

• Position castings on work bench using hoist.
• Visually inspect castings and note needed work.
• Position and guide grinder or chipping hammer along guidelines.
• Use production gauges to verify castings meet specs.
• Verify number and type of castings to be prepared for shipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
