Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Warsaw, IN is seeking a Grind Machinist to set up and operate grinding machines, producing parts according to blueprints and work instructions. This position is based in Warsaw, IN on a 1st shift schedule.

You will perform part setups, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and ensure dimensional accuracy per AQL. The role requires reading blueprints, understanding G&M codes, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while lifting up to 40 lbs and standing

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and operation sheets to determine required grinding steps.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, height gauges and depth micrometers.
• Understanding of G & M codes and basic computer skills.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates grinding equipment following procedures.
• Performs part setup according to blueprints and guidelines.
• Uses gauges to perform quality checks on parts per AQL instructions.
• Corrects dimensional problems and approves setups by others.
• Maintains counts and completes production paperwork in the database.
• Complies with all policies and procedures.
